At Busy Bees Pre-School if needed children can be refferd for specialist speech, language and communication therapy. We as a setting use a framework created by Speech and Language UK. We understand the importance of early language and use their guidance to navigate children on their communication journey. Children’s speech is developed through all aspects and areas of learning at all ages, we share responsibility with parents/ carers to identify any communication and speech concerns. Early Talk Boost is a targeted programme aimed at 3-4 year old children who need help with talking and understanding words, helping to boost their language skills to narrow the gap between them and their peers. We are also as a setting currently working towards introducing this with our 2 year olds moving forward.

10 week cycle but extended if needed
small group covers targeted acitivites to listening and attention, understanding and speaking
reveiw progress.
We promote working with parents/ carers to help educate and support families with their childs communication journey. This isnt neccercerly done soley by concern but a want to progress childrens communication skills moving from one stage to the next. As a setting we do work in partnership with specialists when a child is referred. Below you will find some helpful links on how to support your child.
